Like Sheep in the Midst of Wolves

Sheep in the midst of wolves

You are living in a world where it is not so cute being a Christian any more.  As a Christian living out your faith, you will often have to face hostilities – whether subtle or pronounced – from some people you come in contact with in your daily life.

There seems to be people everywhere who oppose you simply because you chose to live out your life for Christ. The opposition could come from unsaved family members, your neighbours, your colleagues at work and even from people you meet on the street or in shopping centres.

But why is it like that? The answer is not so far-fetched: people love darkness more than light.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.   For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.   But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
John 3:19-21 KJV

Thank you Victor and very True I have been Abused much more than once, yes by Atheists but even by some whom claim to be Born Again Christians but are instead deceived, False Teachers or Cult members. With Blogging they have deleted or ignored my Comments including the Scriptures that confirms them as being True, without giving Scriptural confirmation that I’m in error, it’s just what they think and because of their own Carnal Agenda.they have also put me down to other Bloggers without just reasons for doing so. Yes I have forgiven them and continue to pray for them to come to True heart repentance not just head but until they do as you shared Victor they are also in Darkness the same as those who hack me through WordPress and Google.

Thank you Anne for sharing your experience. From your response, let me pick out this two appropriate ways you adopted to handle those who mistreat you:

      1) Forgive Them. This is really important. If we don’t forgive those who offend us, hardly would we be truly happy. Like I have said to some people, it is in our best interest to forgive those who offend us.

      2) Pray for them. The Bible says pray for your enemies. So by this we know that when we find ourselves praying for our enemies, we are fulfilling the scriptures.
      Remain blessed.

Very wise Advice Victor and so very True, of course we will feel hurt when others persecute and abuse us, I did and very much so but I asked Jesus to help me forgive them as I did with those who hurt me in my Childhood and other times in my life and to be sure it was like a heavy weight being lifted off my shoulders, yes I can talk about their abuse but without pain now.

    Blessings – Anne.

We thank God His love and grace towards us, which heal us from our hurts and imbue with the capacity to forgive those who gravely wrong us. I thank God for you Anne.
